I'm planting kale grown from seed, and also some perennials that I haven't ordered yet!. I'm late and need to get a move on. Otherwise I don't do autumn sowing, as it's too difficult to keep seedling alive over the winters up here. Looks like you had some good successes, despite some disappointments.

I’ve not tried to grow any food for a while, debating trying to next year, I imagine the wind as well as the cold is a big factor!
You should be ideally placed with your climate. Nothing too fussy, with your busy life!
I always find I don't sow enough, and all my direct-sow this year was a complete failure!
